5 Ways to Manually Update Google Chrome

Regular updates ensure you have the latest security features, performance improvements, and new functionalities.

1. Directly in Chrome

  • Go to chrome://settings/help
  • Check for updates

2. System Settings (Windows)

  • Find "Google Chrome" in "Apps & Features"
  • Click "Advanced Options"
  • Check for updates

3. Command Line (Windows)

  • Open the Run Dialog (Windows key + R)
  • Type: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe --version
  • Check for updates
